Notebooks Before the Fall are to pen down history. To narrate the story of women and men who no longer wish to kneel before oppression and humiliation. As we have all seen in movies, yet this time in real life, with clenched fists in anger, they take up the cudgels
 and fight against oppression, not even knowing exactly where the path would take them. But haven't we always said that the journey matters, not the destination?
The exigency of Notebooks Before the Fall crossed our minds since no print magazine had followed the Iranian people's uprising in 1999, 2009, 2017, 2019 and 2021. What is left of those uprisings are footages, notes, and articles all published online and on social networks, along with a few articles and books published abroad, mostly in foreign languages.
The most important broadcast media of the 1401 revolution are social networks and foreign TV networks, none of which leaves room for in-depth analysis of events and the possibility of insightful thinking which could at times be different from the conventional narrative of the movement. The publication of Notebooks Before the Fall is an absolute necessity for us on our way to liberty.
We aim to publish notes and articles of leaders, thinkers, activists and words of witnesses to this revolution in the Notebooks Before the Fall for daily events and evidence. We are willing to publish interviews and controversial panel discussions on this historical event in three languages: Persian, French and English- and hopefully more languages ​​in the near future.
Revolution is a movement subject to a nations’ necessity and this necessity is subject to history. We are penning down history here. Recording the history of a nation who learned to say “NO”.  A nation that did not yield and instead, replaced submission with disobedience. A recording of the history of men and women, from the very moment they no longer wished to surrender to oppression until they have gained freedom.
